The CCD recommendation

I am a caffeine addict. I have a penchant for getting a kick to break the boredom of sleeping. I got a recommendation from a nearby CCD while I was close to the Golconda Fort. The fort had its own hangout spot, majestic and grand. It offered beautiful scenic views. The hangout spot was finished with a CCD just near the gate.

I lived close to the fort, so I visited it often. The coffee tasted the same, but the view from the window where I sat was mesmerizing. I usually ordered Irish coffee when I visited the fort.

One day, an employee came to my table while I had my usual coffee. Surprisingly, I asked what the matter was. Hesitant, shy, and introverted, a person stood there. He tried to say something, but the words didn’t come out. Seeing the situation, I calmly asked the waiter what the matter was. He shyly handed me a piece of paper bearing his name and employee ID. A link was provided for me to send my feedback. I asked why the feedback was so important to him. He replied that it would give him an extra pay raise. As a regular, I recommend earning him the additional points for the pay raise.

A few months passed. One weekend afternoon, I woke up from my lyadhkhor slumber. I put on my favorite jeans to go to the fort. I felt something stuck in my left-side jeans pocket, but I didn’t think twice about it. As a habit, I went to the CCD and ordered my Irish coffee.

Nonetheless, the waiter who took my order was not smiling and looked grumpy. I didn’t understand at all. After a few minutes, the waiter came to my table while I had my coffee. He asked me politely whether I had given the feedback that day. I had forgotten about it completely, and then everything I remembered returned to me. I lied and told them I had advised him to get out of the situation.

For some reason, after drinking the coffee, I checked my wallet. As I reached into my left pocket to retrieve it, a piece of paper fell to the ground. The neatly folded paper was the lad’s recommendation that he had given me earlier. The waiter saw it. Quickly, I exited the CCD.

I never returned to the same CCD. Whenever I was near the fort, I drank only tea from the nearby shops, not the recommended CCD!
