Weird train stories and mishaps

The Indian railway, having evolved over the centuries, has many intriguing, famous stories passed down through generations. The Begun Kodar station in Purulia district, West Bengal, has long been linked to a notorious haunting. It was reported that a white-clad woman was seen walking on the railway tracks at midnight or in the evening. The railway officials used to leave the station before 5 pm, before dark. The station was extremely haunted. Before the trains approached the Begun Kodar railway station, the passengers closed all the train windows.

Mamata Banerjee finally reopened the station to the public after it carried the haunted tag for half a decade. She raised their awareness that they need not fear the place. Yet the place remained haunted, and locals turned it into a destination for “ghost tourism.” A creepy vibe and a haunting story have long prevailed in the area.

The Railway Police Force (RPF) at many railway stations fails to understand why locals stone-pellet at moving trains. Recent examples include stone-pelting in Maharashtra and the Rourkela area of Odisha. The usual offenders are children living near the slums on the railway tracks. The recently introduced Vande Bharat Express has become a popular target for stone pelting for unknown reasons.

The Delhi metro has become infamous for its fellow travelers for improper lustful activity by Gen Z people. Lots of infamous clips of a bikini-clad girl who used to travel in the Delhi metro. Some call it freedom of expression. Others see it as the freedom to showcase fashion. Many citizens still call it a cheap means to gain fame by nudity. The metro is not only known for nudity or lusty scenes. It has also become a hub for passenger fights. You will find cheap stunts, reel culture, and even drug abuse.

Moreover, in addition to haunting and weird stories, Indian Railways has become the new norm for accidents. A terrible accident happened in Odisha, killing hundreds of people due to the railway’s failure. The delay in launching the “Suraksha Kabach” on the railway tracks and the railway officials’ faults caused this massive accident. Surprisingly, our railway minister only appeared on camera to cry. He never took any action. This negligence has resulted in many accidents in recent years.

The Indian railway is one of a kind, boasting a rich history spanning over a century. It’s a profitable government entity that provides large-scale employment—the ruling government. The opposition must unite to run the current railways smoothly. They need to resolve the existing issues with the old trains. Strengthening the workforce is essential. They should offer world-class facilities on the Vande Bharat trains and the luxury Maharaja trains. The opposition must also work towards launching better-equipped railway networks to support future bullet trains. It’s a boon from the past, carrying on the torch of development into the future.
